Great wines 1st Côtes De Blaye: The AOC Premières-Côtes-de-Blaye became Blaye-Côtes-de-Bordeaux in 2009. The vineyard is located north of Bordeaux, in front of the Médoc region, it extends about 6,700 ha and produces 310,000 hl / year. The AOC Blaye-Côtes-de-Bordeaux is distinguished by its diversity. Its terroir is very complex, passing limestone hills with clay-limestone soil made of sand and gravel. The traditional red Bordeaux grapes (Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc) are blended here to make robust, structured and fruity wines. The red Blaye-Côtes-de-Bordeaux are soft, round and well balanced, they have good tannic support and a solid structure that serves aging. The white grape varieties (Sauvignon, Ugni Blanc, Merlot Blanc) produce wholesome, dry and elegant white wines. On the palate, the vivacity of their bouquet of citrus fruits and grilled almonds opens on a nice final note.
