With 800 ha, Pomerol is the smallest of Bordeaux appellations. Pomerol forms a kind of community where vineyards are shared between families. A ranking is not really welcome here. You will not find grand castles like in the Medoc. However Pomerol hosts one of the best known: Pétrus Pomerol wines can be more robust than other Bordeaux. They are velvety that can not be found anywhere else. Pomerol is its pinnacle when it has aged about fifteen years in the cellar.
