Saint-Chinian:

The Saint-Chinian appellation extends over twenty communes located in the north-west of the Hérault department, on either side of the Orb and the Vernazobre, between the areas of Minervois in the south-west and Faugères. to North-east. The vines are planted on the south-southeast slopes of the Montagne Noire, from the Pardailhan mountains to the Faugères mountains and, towards the south, to the Biterrois plain. To the north of the Vernazobre, a tributary of the Orb, schists dominate, while to the south the terrain is very varied. The Saint-Chinian are mainly red, of two different styles. The AOC also produces rosés and a few rare whites.
