On the nose, a nice woodiness embellished with toasted coconut, vanilla and tobacco takes us by the hand and takes us straight to Barbados. where the aromas of burnt caramel amplify the gap between smell and sight. Nuts such as hazelnuts and very fatty peanuts suggest a round and mellow rum, flavored with dried fruits such as apricots.
In mouth. We have caramel, vanilla, coconut and a cocoa/orange reminiscent of orangettes. T
All this is quite fleshy and velvety, pleasant, especially since a little resinous vegetal side brings complexity and the feeling of an accomplished rum.
For the finish, the nuts melt together with a little fleur de sel, to give us a nice length.
