The Chenin which mainly composes this wine (Chardonnay can also bring its suppleness) plunges its roots in a chalky subsoil. Saumur Brut is closely linked to this tuffeau: the cellars which house it result from the quarries from which this stone was extracted to raise the residences and castles of the Loire Valley.

Tasting
Slightly golden, its bubble is fine and persistent. The floral typicity of Chenin is found on the nose. The palate, lively and fresh, persists in finesse.
