Château Angélus 1er Grand Cru Classé 2011 (75cl)
Blessed Angelus has reached the top rank of 1st Grand Cru Classé A, in the 2012 list of Saint-Emilion estates. The gradual ascension carried out by the estate during the last fifteen years is due to the remarkable work of Hubert de Boüard de Laforest, whose family has owned the estate since the 17th century. Ambitious and innovative, he has metamorphosed the property and its wines into nectars sought by fans around the world. In 2015, his daughter Stéphanie de Boüard-Rivoal took charge of the castle.
Ideally facing south, the 23-hectare vineyard is planted with Merlot (50%), Cabernet Franc (47%) and Cabernet Sauvignon. It gives sweet wines with silky tannins, which play the card of the fruit in all its richness, with the magnificent notes mentholées and toasted of the breeding. They are promised a very long guard.
The property produces another wine, The Angelus Carillon
