Château Côte de Baleau 2010 Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé (75cl)
Château Côte de Baleau 2010 Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé (75cl)
Bordeaux - Right Bank
Appellation: Saint-Émilion Grand Cru
This domain of about twenty hectares located on the clay-limestone plateau in the heart of the village of Saint Emilion belongs to the Reiffers family since 1643. It is at the end of the 1990s that Sophie Fourcade takes the direction of the family property , with the aim of raising its wines to the highest quality level while respecting the tradition and typicality of the terroir.
Surrounding itself with the advice of Michel Rolland, it presides over the destinies of two Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé appellations, Château Les Grandes Murailles and Le Clos Saint-Martin, as well as a Saint-Emilion Grand Cru appellation, La Côte de Baleau, which Sophie Fourcade has given priority to enter the list of grands crus classés.
The Château Les Grandes Murailles stretches over two hectares at the foot of the remains of the Dominican convent at the entrance of the city while the Clos Saint-Martin is located near the Church of the same name.
