This 2nd Classified Growth is a place of passage on the tourist route of the great wines of the Medoc, if only to admire its cellar and cellar latest, fully redesignated in 2008 by the architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte. Cos d'Estournel belongs since 2000 to the ambitious Michel Reybier, with the support of the director Charles Thomas. The vineyard of 91 hectares (60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 38% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc) is superbly located on a pile of clay and limestone. The winemaking is followed by oenologist Eric Boissenot.

The vintage is known to fans for its rich wines with impressive tannic structure, powerful and greedy on their intense fruit thanks to the strong share of Merlot, with spicy notes and toast. They offer a very good conservation potential.

The estate produces a second wine, Les Pagodes de Cos, and Cos d'Estournel blanc.
