Nikka Taketsuru 12 Year Old Japansese Whiskey

Japan is the second largest producer of single malt whiskey in the world. The country has already won various international tasting awards since 2001. In the 2008 World Whiskey Awards, it confirmed its position on the world market by winning the two most coveted awards: 'the best single malt whiskey in the world' and 'the best blended whiskey in the world'. And in 2011, it was far ahead of the other major distilleries by grabbing the best awards.

Description:

Although the 12-year-old Taketsuru is not as well-known and renowned as its older variants, it has nothing to envy. Indeed, it stands out for its perfect balance and freshness. This Taketsuru deserves no less its name.

Tasting:

Dress: Ambrée with bronze highlights.

Nose: Very sweet, with a slight aroma of cake. The malty aroma is accompanied by warm apple and peach notes that give it a pleasant aroma of tarte tatin.

Palate: As gentle as the nose. Pretty close to apple and pear flavors, with a crumble aftertaste and salty butter notes.
