Bunnahabhain, 12, won the Silver Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2011.
Tasting notes:
Dress: Deep gold
Nose: Slightly honeyed, caramel, cappuccino, then becomes more malty and roasted but still fresh. Some salinity.
Palate: Maltée and caramel, honeyed, overall sweet but not light either. Hazelnut liqueur, a little smoky, apple and apricot.
Finish: Moderately long, roasted and honeyed, a little more herbaceous and smoky.
